This is a restored version of the top half (and best known section) of a poster for Ruinart Champagne, designed by Alphonse Mucha in 1896 in the Art Nouveau style. Mucha was a Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist, living in Paris during the Art Nouveau period and best known for his distinctly stylised and decorative theatrical posters, particularly those of Sarah Bernhardt.
Ruinart holds the title as the first and oldest champagne house in the world, exclusively producing champagne since 1729. Founded by Nicolas Ruinart in the Champagne region of France in the city of Reims, the house is today owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA. Ruinart is world-famous as a top class champagne and ages its product in scenic chalk mines which have been classified as an Historic World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Available as an archival quality reproduction in 7 standard metric sizes in the following formats: an unframed print; a framed print; a stretched canvas; a canvas floating frame. Frames are available in white, natural oak, dark oak and black sustainable timber.
