An Austin Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8 sports convertible beautifully illustrated by Classic Lines Artist Mike Harbar.
Of all the British sports cars ever made the Austin-Healey 3000 series are amongst the most iconic and most desirable, despite the fact that they were by no means the most expensive nor even the most sophisticated.
Originally created to provide an affordable sports car so that enthusiasts of modest means could participate in motor sport and club competition the “big Healey” became a common sight on race tracks and in rallies. The Mark III, manufactured from November 1963 until December 1967, was the final and most luxurious version of the 3000 and remains highly sought-after by enthusiasts.
English born and bred and now living on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula in Australia, Mike Harbar has a passion and natural talent for illustrating cars, boats and planes. Trained as an industrial designer, Mike understands the basic engineering principals to the artistic flowing lines. This is very apparent when you see the accuracy and the attention to detail he can achieve just by using his lead pencils and watercolour.
We are privileged to offer a large selection of Mike's works under license from the artist.
