Another striking example of vintage poster art from the master himself, Leonetto Cappiello, circa 1906.
Cappiello (1875-1942) was an Italian and French poster art designer and painter who mainly lived and worked in Paris. He is now often called 'the father of modern advertising' because of his innovation in poster design.
The Cognac Albert Robin firm began in 1860 and has been a family business ever since. It comes as no surprise that Cappiello chose a fiery red and yellow robin as the eye-catching centrepiece of this design.
