Rene Vincent (1879-1936) was a French illustrator prevalent in the 1920s-1930s. He became well known for his Art Deco poster designs and was influential in the Art Deco movement in the period between the two world wars.
As a point of trivia, this poster also appeared in Monica's bedroom in the hugely successful television series "Friends" which lasted 10 seasons between 1994 and 2004.
