Retro surf poster print for Currumbin Alley by Mornington Peninsula art director and surfer Tony Leishman.
Where the creek meets the sea Currumbin is known as Currumbin Alley and not only is it one of the most beautiful spots on the Gold Coast, it is also the perfect surf spot for beginners and long boarders. The waves are quite mellow and there are often lots of beginners in the shallows giving it a go. But don't be fooled by this mellow vibe. Currumbin Alley can be a Jeckle and Hyde. Powerful waves produced by passing cyclones march into Currumbin and slam into the alley providing huge waves that are a favourite for tow in surfing.
Tony has been surfing for many years and has created a range of vintage surfing prints covering many of Australia’s best-known surf destinations.
