Retro surf poster print of the classic surf car the 1974 Holden HQ wagon by Mornington Peninsula art director and surfer Tony Leishman.
Announced in July 1971, the HQ was a radical departure from the outgoing Holden model range and transformed Holden cars in almost every way. The HQ featured modern styling and three basic models, the Belmont, Kingswood and luxury Premier - the car with compact luxury! The Premier was distinguished by chrome sill plates, leather-grain vinyl trim (bucket seats were optional), pull-down armrests, walnut dash facia, high-loop pile carpets,a flow-thru ventilation system and optional power steering. They said if you drive it once and you won't accept anything else! And as far as a cruising surf wagon goes, all surfers would agree!
Tony has been surfing for many years and has created a range of vintage surfing prints covering many of Australia’s best-known surf destinations.
