Retro surf poster print for Rainbow Bay/Snapper Rocks, on Queensland's famous Gold Coast, by Mornington Peninsula art director and surfer Tony Leishman.
One of few north facing beaches on the Gold Coast, Rainbow Bay has a wave called Snapper Rocks that wraps around from the point and down the bay almost to Greenmount. Snapper on the northern side of the bay breaks off the point when bigger and gets packed with surfers who definitely know what they’re doing. It's known as one of Australia's best tubing surf breaks. So if you decide to surf it get out there and get barrelled... or get out of the way.
Tony has been surfing for many years and has created a range of vintage surfing prints covering many of Australia’s best-known surf destinations.
