Retro surf poster print of the classic surf car the 1972 R/T Valiant Charger by Mornington Peninsula art director and surfer Tony Leishman.
The Chrysler R/T Valiant Charger is one of the most iconic and rare Australian muscle cars ever built. A two-door hardtop coupe introduced in 1971, the Charger was extraordinarily popular in Australia. At one point Charger production totalled 80% of all Australian Valiant production. Valiant built 149 of the Charger E49 in 1972 to qualify for that year’s Bathurst motor race. It was the most powerful production six-cylinder car of its time making it the fastest way to get to the surf!
Tony has been surfing for many years and has created a range of vintage surfing prints covering many of Australia’s best-known surf destinations.
